Peter....good stuff.  Lacking memory has made him more confident.  Though he's obviously gained a few abilities (from Sylar? something in the missing four months?) Shooting lightning.  Punching *really* hard.  And phasing himself through solid objects (hands through rope).  I don't remember those as being ones shown last year.  At least not in those terms.  I could have done without the beating up of Peter at the beginning (but that's just me and I know it was for effect to show that he can heal himself), but I did like the very brief shot of Dominic Keating who I knew was guest-starring this year.

Claire....can I just say EW!  Cutting one's toe off just to see if it would grow back.  Just icky.  Plus with the distraction of West, did she, um, clean up after herself?  Or let Mr. Muggles do so?  ~shudder~  And I really have to wonder why Claire didn't look upwards.  The dog was looking up, obviously excited about something.  And it's not like she hasn't seen people fly before since she was there when Peter and Nathan went up.  One other thing that left me a little puzzled at first was the book by Mohinder's father that West left for her.  I guess I'd thought she'd met Mohinder by season's end last year and would have known about the book...but perhaps not.

Hiro....well, he sorta got to be Kensei.  And got to do cool stuff without having to use a sword (yet).  That the real Kensei has the magic healing ability like Claire...well, that would come in handy for a samurai fighting bandits and various bad guys.  Watching Hiro's face when the swordsmith's daughter was waiting to be kissed was bittersweet.  Not sure if he wanted to but didn't or if he was remembering Charlie.

Mohinder healing the Haitian (does that guy have an actual name?) so he could get back to Bennet was good and the question of whether Mohinder actually remembered was mostly cleared up by the latest GN release at NBC's Hero site.

Still not sure what's going on with Maya and Alejandro, but the bleeding eye thing was just creepy.  And still not missing Nikki and family since they were my least favorite heroes group.
