So I got the Superman: Doomsday animated movie yesterday evening and watched it last night...
Um...a little more violent than I was expecting, even if it did say PG-13. Then again, it was based on the Death of Superman arc, of which I've read the novelization, and I know that got violent. I did like seeing the Timm animation again, though not those lines on Supes' face. Ugh. The story itself....pretty much what I expected, though obviously greatly shortened from the actual comic arc.
Voices....I hate to say it, but they were all kinda bland. As much as I like Adam Baldwin and James Marsters, neither emoted well. Except for that ... scene with Luthor beating up on Supes... Um, slashy much? ~shudder~
The "evil" Superman-clone. I just have to wonder if this was what Kon would have been if Luthor had kept control of him. Well, rather than the out-of-control "kill them all" bald Kon that he was temporarily.
I'm still looking forward to The New Frontier movie, which won't come out till next year. ~sigh~ I miss JLU. Though it's sorta coming back into being with this season's The Batman. Though I don't remember any female characters in the last scene of last season's finale.
